Waterproofed basement wall, small pinhole leaks present.?

I waterproofed a basement wall ( cinder block) with some stuff from a hardware store. I followed directions, but it began to rain during the application. All looked well and is better than before, but there are some small pin sized holes where drops of water is seeping in through the blocks. Was my waterproofing job a flop because of this? can I put a dab of the waterproof stuff over the holes when it is no longer raining and hope it works? I'm trying to prevent mold and leaks without spending a fortune so I am looking for a decent product that I can buy like from Lowes or Home Depot without breaking my bank. Any ideas? I have lots more work to do!
