Jehovah's Witnesses - People who speak against the WTBTS, your opinion of them?

A lot of Jehovah's Witnesses are former catholics, former hindis, former protestants, and they all speak out about the hypocrisies and inconsistencies of their former religions in their congregations without being called apostates. Why can't Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses do the same? It's only fair, since Jehovah's Witnesses encourage others to think critically of their own religions.
