Broaden your musical interests, people at your party may not like your bubblegum type pop. Try acoustic rock like incubus (echo,drive, pardon me). Also look at Sublime (What I got, Santeria, Wrong Way), they are an amazing band. The Cure (Friday I'm in Love, Just like heaven,love song). Also look at the Foo Fighters (Everlong, Learn to fly, Monkey wrench). You don't have to look them up, but I would highly recommend it, you'd be surprised to find you may like some of those songs/bands.
