Which 1 of these places in Japan best for Americans to adjust to living?

I would imagine the bigger the city then the more tourist-friendly it will be in terms of communication and foreigners settling. On that basis, Yokohama would be your best bet. Its also the closest to Tokyo. But you will probably need to learn some basic Japanese if you're going to be living there for more than a year!
