I got hit by a forklift 3 years ago, smashed my leg pretty good but the doctors said it would be ok.?

3 years later and it still gives me problems..especially when im sitting down, my leg starts to hurt pretty bad sometimes. It's still kinda sore when i touch the area, and it hurts real bad when i get down on my knees to do something, hurts right there in the front where the bone is all along it. I had 3 different doctors look at it at the time of the accident, they all just said it will get better in a few weeks...
