Should the State of Louisiana Proceed with the Execution of Patrick O. Kennedy?
No, the rulings of the Supreme Court of the US, should be upheld, and no death penalty should be issued. Many states now are going for a child death penalty, but what about murder? We need to come to an agreement in this country on what is a worthy death sentence. I feel that taking a human life with malice, is worthy of a sentence of death. I feel that must be dealt with under cirstance, and the facts involved with. I am not at this point, for a death penalty, without intent to commit murder. I know this may piss some people off, but I am looking at a case by case issue on this fact. If a person,18, had with their 16 or 17 yrs old girlfriend, and the parents or the person, claim they did not consent, for what ever reason, is this worth a penalty of death? Do you see where this could lead? We must be sure on the facts of each case. the age of consent in some states is, in my opinion very low, can you understand my concern on this issue. In this case, I do not no all of the facts. This man declares his innocence, that in it's self is not enough but, but there maybe reasonable doubt. I wish I was a judge. I would look at the "US Constitution", and state statutes. Personal feelings can not come into play. What is the " Law of the Land", and how to act on such. It is not a popularity contest, but law. I hope you understand my convictions on this issue. If malicious murder, in some states, is not worthy of a sentence of death, should ?
