I got bit by a Macaw?

Our pet Macaw attacked me when I fed him some kiwi, and had my whole finger in his mouth biting me. My finger was gushing blood all over, but I cleaned it and wrapped it up in gauze. Now keep in mind this happened 3 days ago. I took it off yesterday and it keeps bleeding. It's in the middle of the night and it's gushing and nothing works. I can't get it to stop. I put on gauze and it just soaked right through it. Please help, is there anything I can try to stop the bleeding? I know I probably should have gone to the doc, may have needed stitches. Help?
